Monday Night Music Club is a program for teens and adults that have a desire to play with other musicians in a band and express their talents. We will be choosing musical styles appropriate for a broad audience in collaboration with the lead vocalists and band members. If you sing, play guitar, drums, bass, piano, saxophone, flute, cello or any other instrument, this program is for you!

Sandy Connolly

Band leader, vocal coach, guitar player, lead singer, and recording artist, Sandy Connolly has over twenty years of experience teaching voice and guitar, rehearsing bands, and collaborating with rock, pop, and jazz musicians of every skill level. She initiates and hosts myriad musical events including the weekly open mic at Donahue’s in Madison, CT,  her self-started, five-year running and very popular Acoustic Open Mic at the Country Tavern in Guilford as well as quarterly, informal cafes in her own studio where students learn how to work with  professional musicians and each other. The Acoustic Open Mic has birthed at least three regularly working and performing bands: Take Two & Call Me in the Morning, The Muddy Rudders, and The Racquet Downstairs.

We will be playing our own recitals and events at RVP as well as going out into the community and playing at open mic nights, cafes,and restaurants. Bring covers or originals, and gain the experience of playing with other musicians in a supportive environment.
